Low-calorie healthy brownies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pitted dates, soaked in hot water for 15 minutes
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking dish (8×8 inches or equivalent) with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine the soaked dates (drained), applesauce, cocoa powder, almond flour, Greek yogurt, eggs, vanilla extract, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Blend the ingredients until you have a smooth, thick batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (you want them slightly gooey).
  6. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the baking dish before slicing into six servings.
